Abstract

In December 2023, Singkawang Municipality has year on year (y-on-y) inflation of 1.74 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 115.08.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index in eleven expenditure groups. The expenditure group that experienced an increase in the index successively from the highest was the personal care and other services group by 3.64 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group at 2.36 percent; food and beverage provider/restaurant group at 2.24 percent; education group at 1.94 percent; health group by 1.64 percent; clothing and footwear group at 1.11 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.10 percent; transportation group by 1.01 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.69 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.53 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.48 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for December 2023 is 0.17 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for December 2023 is 1.74 percent.
