Singkawang Municipality has a year-on-year inflation in April 2023 was 4,62 percent

In April 2023 Singkawang City experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 4.62 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 114.28.

Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index for the ten expenditure groups. The expenditure group that experienced an increase in index successively from the highest was the transportation group by 16.70 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 5.63 percent; personal care and other services group of 5.11 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.78 percent; the health group by 2.75 percent; the education group by 2.51 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 2.46 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 1.93 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.07 percent; and the clothing and footwear group by 0.79 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in index was the information, communication and financial services group by 0.19 percent.

The April 2023 month to month (mtm) inflation rate was 0.55 percent and the April 2023 year to date (ytd) inflation rate was 1.03 percent.
