Singkawang Municipality has a year-on-year inflation in July 2023 was 3,90 percent

In July 2023 Singkawang City experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 3.90 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 115.01.

Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index for the ten expenditure groups. The expenditure group that experienced an increase in index from the highest was the transportation group by 13.87 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.13 percent; personal care and other services group of 3.82 percent; the education group by 3.58 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 3.18 percent; the health group by 3.08 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 1.65 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.38 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.90 percent; and the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.05 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in index was the information, communication and financial services group by 0.17 percent.

The month to month (mtm) deflation rate for July 2023 was 0.07 percent and the year to date (ytd) inflation rate for July 2023 was 1.68 percent.
