Singkawang Municipality has a year-on-year inflation in July 2023 was 2,68 percent

In September 2023, Singkawang City has year on year (yoy) inflation of 2.68 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 114.91.

Inflation occurs due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index for all expenditure groups. The expenditure groups that experienced successive increases in index from the highest were the health group at 5.49 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group at 4.17 percent; personal care and other services group at 3.34 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.88 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 2.14 percent; education group at 1.94 percent; transportation group by 1.5 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 1.42 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 1.17 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.94 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.25 percent.

The month to month (mtm) deflation rate for September 2023 is 0.17 percent and the year to date (ytd) inflation rate for September 2023 is 1.59 percent.
