Abstract

In December 2024, there was year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Singkawang Municipality was 1.57 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.18.

Inflation y-on-y occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in ten expenditure group indices, namely: food, beverages and tobacco group by 2.94 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.74 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.08 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0.08 percent; health group by 2.65 percent; transportation group by 0.31 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 1.72 percent; education group by 1.24 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 0.86 percent; and personal care and other services group by 2.72 percent. Meanwhile, the information, communication, and financial services group experienced y-on-y deflation of 0.11 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate of Singkawang Municipality in December 2024 was 0.44 percent while the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 1.57 percent.
