Abstract

In August 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Singkawang Municipality was 1.16 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.67.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in all expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.28 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.68 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.13 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.53 percent; health group at 2.46 percent; transportation group by 1.30 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.24 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 2.04 percent; education group at 1.24 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.16 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.29 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) deflation rate of Singkawang Municipality in August 2024 was 0.05 percent while the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 1.08 percent.
