Abstract

In May 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Singkawang Municipality was 2.09 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.00.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in all expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 3.31 percent; clothing and footwear group at 1.21 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.62 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.62 percent; health group at 3.91 percent; transportation group by 1.17 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.34 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.56 percent; education group at 1.36 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.39 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.81 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Singkawang Municipality in May 2024 was 0.04 percent and 1.40 percent respectively.
