Abstract

In March 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Singkawang Municipality was 2.69 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.67.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in all expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 5.04 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.36 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.72 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 2.14 percent; health group by 2.37 percent; transportation group at 0.94 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.11 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.99 percent; education group at 1.36 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 1.45 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.00 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Singkawang Municipality in March 2024 are 0.47 percent and 1.08 percent respectively.
