Singkawang Municipality has a year-on-year inflation in January 2023 was 5,74 percent

In January 2023 Singkawang Municipality experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 5.74 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 113.62.

Inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index for the ten expenditure groups. The expenditure group that experienced an increase in index from the highest was the transportation group by 17.10 percent; the group providing food and drink/restaurants by 8.45 percent; the health group by 6.70 percent; the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.45 percent; equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group of 4.38 percent; personal care and other services group of 4.38 percent; the recreation, sports and culture group by 2.42 percent; the education group by 1.94 percent; the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.68 percent; and the clothing and footwear group by 0.39 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in index was the information, communication and financial services group by 0.15 percent.

The January 2023 month to month (mtm) inflation rate is 0.45 percent and the January 2023 year to date (ytd) inflation rate is 0.45 percent.
