Singkawang Municipality has an deflation of 0,09 percent on June 2022

In June 2022, Singkawang Municity has deflation of 0.09 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 110.27.

Deflation occurred due to a decrease in prices as indicated by a decrease in the index in one contest group. The expenditure group that experienced a decline in the index was the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.65 percent. Meanwhile, seven other expenditure groups experienced an increase in index, namely the recreation, sports, and culture groups by 1.13 percent; transportation group by 0.89 percent; health group by 0.40 percent; personal care group by 0.26 percent; household equipment, equipment, and routine maintenance group by 0.23 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.08 percent; and groups of food and beverage providers/restaurants by 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, the clothing and footwear group, the information, communication, and financial services group, as well as the education group experienced very small index changes so that they did not contribute significantly to deflation.

The inflation rate for the calendar year up to June 2022 is 3.30 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2022 to June 2021) is 4.52 percent.
