Abstract

In January 2025, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Singkawang Municipality was 0.29 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 105.19.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in nine expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.13 percent; clothing and footwear group at 0.74 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 0.13 percent; health group by 0.24 percent; transportation group at 0.39 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 1.46 percent; education group at 1.22 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 0.15 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.02 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 11.92 percent and the information, communication, and financial services by 0.08 percent.

The month to month (m-to-m) and year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate for Singkawang Municipality in January 2025 was 0.93 percent.
