In January 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Singkawang Municipality was 1.93 percent

In January 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation in Singkawang City was 1.93 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.89.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in ten expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 2.64 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.47 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 0.76 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.85 percent; health group by 2.66 percent; transportation group at 1.18 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 0.43 percent; education group at 1.36 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2.60 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 2.69 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decline in the index was the information, communication and financial services group by 0.27 percent.
